What ChaseMe is
ChaseMe is an automated follow-up platform. You tell it one thing you're waiting on, from one person, by one date — and an AI agent chases that person on your behalf until they reply or the task closes. Uploaded documents and checklists can be turned into chase-able tasks automatically.
It chases over email and WhatsApp, escalating from one to the other when a message is ignored, and hands a thread back to you the moment a reply needs a human.
Getting started
- Sign in and open your Dashboard — it shows what needs you now, what's going cold, and what the agent has sent.
- Click New chase (⌘N). Pick Just one thing if you already know the ask, or From a document to let the agent read a file for everything owed.
- Fill in what you're waiting on, who owes it, the channel, and when to start. Press Start chasing — the agent takes it from there.
Connecting a mailbox is optional to start: the agent chases from a shared sender, and you can connect your own Gmail later (see Integrations).
Projects & tasks
Projects group related follow-ups — one client engagement, one audit, one filing. Each task is a single ask with a recipient, a due date, a priority, and a channel. A task is what the agent actually chases.
Priority sets the cadence: critical chases daily, high every three days, everything else weekly. You can pause a task any time — it keeps its schedule and resumes where it left off.
How chasing works
On each due date the scheduler writes a fresh, context-aware message and sends it. It logs every send, seeds a conversation thread, and waits for a reply. When someone answers, the silence counter resets; when they don't, pressure builds and the task rises up your Dashboard.
Channels & escalation
A task chases on the channel you picked. If you leave it on email and two emails go unanswered, the agent automatically escalates to WhatsApp — provided the recipient has a phone number on file. Pinning a task to Email keeps it email-only.
When it needs you
If a reply needs a human decision, the agent flags the task instead of guessing. Those show up under Needs input, and — if you've connected your Gmail — you can reply straight into the thread from your own inbox.
Recipients & CC
Every chase has a recipient ("who owes it") with an email or a phone number. Phone numbers are validated to international format via a country selector, so a WhatsApp chase can never go out to a malformed number.
Add a CC (copy by email) to keep other people looped in on the thread — this is plain text and needs no login. It's separate from connecting your own Gmail, which is what lets you reply into a chase.
Integrations
Gmail
Two separate connections. The agent account is the sender every automated chase goes out from (set up once by an admin). Your Gmail is optional and only needed to reply into a chase from your own inbox — the agent chases fine without it.
WhatsApp (Twilio)
WhatsApp is sent through Twilio and used when a chase escalates past ignored email. It needs a Twilio Account SID, auth token, and a registered WhatsApp sender number, entered under Integrations → WhatsApp. Delivery status (delivered / read / undelivered) flows back onto each attempt.
Assistant & knowledge base
The Assistant answers questions across your projects and tasks. The Knowledge base holds facts the agent has learned (settled by a human) and feeds them back into how it writes and extracts — so chases stay accurate to your context.
Credits & billing
ChaseMe runs on credits — each AI-written follow-up spends from your organization's balance. Top up under Billing (via Stripe). When an organization runs out of credits, its chases pause until it's topped up rather than failing silently.
Roles & access
- User — their own data.
- Admin — their organization's clients, projects, branding, and billing.
- Superadmin — full access across every organization, under
/superadmin.
Developers
ChaseMe ships an MCP server so agents and tools can read and write your project and task data programmatically — list due tasks, create a chase, edit a task. Issue a per-organization key under Settings → API keys; each key carries its own organization scope.
FAQ
- Do I have to connect a mailbox to chase?
- No. The agent chases from a shared sender. Connect your Gmail only to reply as yourself.
- When does it switch to WhatsApp?
- Automatically, after two ignored emails — as long as the recipient has a phone number.
- Does "sent" mean it was delivered?
- For WhatsApp, delivery status (delivered / read / undelivered) is tracked separately, so "sent" (accepted) and "delivered" (reached them) are distinct.
